I know of a guy who's been a vinyl designer toy collector since the 90's, his name is Jakuan El Haseem (from the Bronx, NY), who sculpts and makes toys. There is a nice "museum"-looking gallery in Wynwood (part of Miami's Design District), called Harold Golen Gallery, who has specialized in pop surrealism of which many artists have turned to vinyl toy creations to add to their repertoir of talented work.
